Defence Bank Partnership
Defence Bank and Navy Health today announced an innovative and strategic partnership to deliver even greater value and services to their Members.
The partnership and sharing-of-knowledge will develop new and innovative ways to assist Members of both organisations with their banking and health needs.
Defence Bank CEO David Marshall said the historic agreement is an exciting initiative which will respect shared history and purpose, and spark fresh opportunities.
“This is a significant partnership to deliver Members an even broader set of financial services to support our joint memberships,” Mr Marshall said. “We share a lot in common with Navy Health, including our Member-focused core values and our long history of working in partnership with the Defence community.
“The Defence Bank team is proud to be able to work in partnership with another strong and like-minded Member-focused organisation.
“Defence Bank looks forward to working with the Navy Health team on a deeper connection and stronger product offering with Members.
“Defence Bank sees opportunities for Australians to shift their banking to Member-owned banks like us and there’s a similar movement towards independent not-for-profit health service providers such as Navy Health.”
Navy Health CEO Ron Wilson said the partnership with Defence Bank has exciting potential for Members. “With our Membership bases, core values, and core services aligning very closely, Navy Health and Defence Bank will be looking for mutually-beneficial opportunities to leverage our marketing activities and provide Members with increased value.
“From the initial discussion, it was clearly evident that both organisations have a dedication and commitment to serving Members, and a focus on ensuring the Member is at the core of what we provide.
“Both Defence Bank and Navy Health are committed to this partnership and are excited to begin working together to achieve our shared objectives to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our Members.”
Defence Bank is one of Australia’s larger Member-owned banks. It’s been in operation since 1975, offering financial products and services to not only the Australian Defence Force (ADF) but also the broader Defence community. Defence Bank has 39 branches around Australia, over 80,000 Members and more than $2.3 billion in assets under management.
