Do you need Hospital cover or Extras cover?
Private Health Insurance comes in two forms: Hospital Cover, for when you need to be admitted into hospital, and Extras Cover, for your everyday health care services to maintain your health and wellbeing such as dental, optical, chiropractic and physiotherapy.
Hospital Cover
Navy Health’s Hospital cover allows you to receive treatment as a private patient in a private hospital, avoiding lengthy public health system wait lists, and the option to choose your own specialist. You can choose from four levels of cover: Gold, Prime Silver+, Core Silver+ and Bronze+.
Extras Cover
Extras cover allows you to claim back some of the costs of health care services and treatments, such as Dental and Optical, that are not covered by Medicare, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. View and compare our three levels of cover.
