In 2017, Navy Health received accreditation as a White Ribbon Workplace through our commitment to the prevention of men’s violence against women. Extensive work was conducted over an 18-month period by Navy Health board member (and White Ribbon Ambassador) and Warrant Officer of the Navy, Gary Wight, and Chief Financial Officer, Janice Brown, alongside the Navy Health workforce who contributed tireless hours to putting a successful submission together.
It was also a great honour to be presented with our accreditation certificate by Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Tim Barrett who, through his role as a White Ribbon Ambassador, strongly supports our partnership with White Ribbon and the work being done to prevent domestic violence.
As a White Ribbon accredited workplace, Navy Health integrates key initiatives and strategies into its day-to-day operations with staff and stakeholders, sponsorship and ambassador agreements and digital communications to members to take active steps in delivering the important call-to-action to prevent violence against women.
