Once you've have been eligible for health insurance with Navy Health, you and your family are eligible for life. This means that even if you leave your current employer, you're still eligible even if you didn’t take out Navy Health insurance at the time.
If you have already served waiting periods with your current fund on an equivalent level of cover, you won't need to re-serve waiting periods with Navy Health. If you are upgrading your cover you will only have waits on the elements not previously covered.
Navy Health includes full comprehensive ambulance cover on all policies. We cover 100% of the cost of ambulance services within Australia, provided it is provided by a state based run Ambulance service, by either air/sea or land.
