Tax Statements

Your Navy Health Tax Statement

 

This financial year (2023/2024) Navy Health will send your health insurance tax statement directly to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

We will also store the tax statement in your Navy Health Member Portal and Mobile app Inbox no later than 12th July 2024.

Accessing your statement in the Navy Health Member Portal

1. Log into the Navy Health Member Portal – Go to the Navy Health Member Portal via the link or visit navyhealth.com.au and click on ‘For Members’ at the top right hand side of the page, then click on ‘Login to the Member Portal’.

2. Enter your log in details or register if you do not have an account.

 

3. Once Logged in, you can view your statement in your member inbox either on the home screen located here:

 

 

Or by clicking on ‘Inbox’ on the left hand side of the screen.

 

4. In your inbox click on ‘2024 Rebate Statement’.

 

5. From here you can view, download and print your statement.

 

Accessing your statement in the Mobile app

1. Open your Navy Health Mobile App and select Inbox

2. In your inbox click on ‘2024 Rebate Statement’.

3. From here you can view, download and print your statement.

 

Reading your Navy Health Tax Statement

 

Key Dates

30th June 2024 – The official end of the financial year. Navy Health will begin to work on creating your tax statement after this date if you held a hospital policy at any stage in the financial year.
12th July 2024 – Tax statements will be available for members to view in the Navy Health Member Portal & Mobile App Inbox.
14th July 2024 – Your tax statement will be sent to the ATO where it will be viewable in your tax forms or your My Gov portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you not sending the tax statement via email or post?

As per the recent changes to the legislation as part of the government reforms, Navy Health will no longer be mailing or emailing statements to members.

Where can I get a copy of my tax statement for my records?

You can log into your Navy Health Member Portal or Mobile App and download your tax statements from here. Alternatively, you can speak to a Member Services Officer on 1300 306 289. Please note Navy Health estimates it can take up to 10 days for the tax statements to be received via post and recommend you download from your Navy Health Member Portal or Mobile App.

Will I receive a tax statement?

If you held a hospital policy in the 2023/2024 financial year and you paid premiums toward it then tax statements will be sent directly to the ATO, if you would like a copy it will be available for members to view or download from your Navy Health Member Portal and Mobile App.

Why is my tax statement not showing?

If your tax statement is not showing in your Navy Health Member Portal or Mobile App and it is after the 12th July 2024, and you held an active hospital cover in the 2023/2024 financial year, please call us on 1300 306 289 so we can look into this for you.

Navy Health cannot contact the ATO on your behalf.

Why does my statement have a zero in section J?

This is because Navy Health has not received any contribution payments toward your policy in the 2023/2024 financial year. This can occur if you have paid in advance in previous years.

Why does the benefit code (section L) shown on the statement differ to what I should be claiming?

Your statement will not show you what level of rebate you’re entitled to. This is because we don’t collect information about your income.
