Q. Does my policy cover me for COVID-19 if I am admitted into hospital?
A. Yes. All members with hospital cover will be covered in the event that you are admitted to hospital for COVID-19. Your membership must be current, financial and not in suspension.
Q. Is COVID-19 considered a pre-existing condition?
A. No. If you are admitted to hospital for treatment as a private patient, you will be able to be treated.
Q. I have been financially impacted by COVID-19, what options do I have to manage my Navy Health Policy?
A. Please contact Navy Health on 1300 306 289 to discuss options that may be suited to your personal circumstance.
Q. Will Navy Health cover my GP visits and tests for COVID-19?
A. No. Navy Health will not cover GP visits and/ or tests for COVID-19 cost. Legislation prevents Navy Health from paying a benefit on any outpatient services such as GP visits, bloods test, x-rays etc.
Q. Can I still use my extras cover?
A. Currently, there are no restrictions on using your extras cover, however with the quick changing environment in each State or Territory. Navy Health suggests you speak with your treating practitioner to check if there are any restrictions in place.
